I should really blog about what’s going on with the Violence Against Women Act in Congress right now

But honestly the fact that the only people to vote against it were 31 white Republican dudes make me so upset I want to cry. 

The Republican women voted for it. All of them. 

It’s not projected to pass the house. They have too many white dudes up in there apparently.

We’re really fighting over this shit.

We’re really fighting about whether or not the government should help stop violence against women.

Really.

Really.  

You are more then a number
Numbers are just human made things
Like measurements and factory created clothing
Things that shouldn’t fucking matter
There are so many negatives and pluses and sizes that
I wonder why they don’t call it algebra
How can you like yourself
When your entire worth is defined by your waist to hip ratio
The system has it all down
When girls spend every waking moment
Thinking about their diets
They will have no energy to change the world
And nothing will ever change
